Heath B. Haynes is the founder and inspiration behind Haynes Investment Management with the goal to assist his clients in every aspect of their financial lives.

Heath is a former professional baseball pitcher.  For most of his childhood through to his early 30's required him to be extremely competitive in a sport that is both physically and mentally challenging.  In 1994, amidst fierce competition, Heath achieved his goal in making it to the Major Leagues with the Montreal Expos.  Although it was a brief showing, it taught Heath that with hard work, goals and dreams are attainable.  The following years in baseball allowed him to travel extensively throughout the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico, Venezuela, Taiwan and Mexico.

In 2000 Heath retired from professional baseball to pursue a career in the Financial Advisory field.  His previous baseball career taught him patience, dedication, hard work and follow through.  The importance of these characteristics will always be the foundation of Haynes Investment Management.

His Financial Advisory and Planning career began in 2001 with A. G. Edwards in Santa Monica, California.  A solid family owned “boutique” company was the perfect place to build his skills in assisting clients with their financial future.  When the company was sold in 2007 to a large banking institution, Heath chose to service his clients with a similar platform that was used at A. G. Edwards.  H & R Block Financial Advisors allowed him to do just that.  In the late summer of 2007 Heath and his clients transitioned to H & R Block and business continued as usual.  In 2009 H & R Block sold their Financial Advisory section to Ameriprise Financial Advisors.  

In the fall of 2010, Heath became an Independent Financial Advisor by partnering with LPL Financial based out of San Diego, CA.  Hence, Haynes Investment Management was formed.

LPL Financial is the largest independent brokerage firm in the United States (based on total revenues, as reported in Financial Planning Magazine, June 1996-2016).  The premise behind LPL Financial is to service Independent Financial Advisors with unbiased research and nonproprietary products.  This unique business model successfully services over 14,000 financial advisors providing advisors and the clients they serve unsurpassed back office support & technology ~ This is what every client should receive and demand from their investment advisory firm.

When not servicing his clients, Heath is an avid hobbyist where he enjoys golf, astronomy, boating and home beer brewing.  In the spring of 2010 Heath won the National Home Brewers competition for his “Kolsch” style beer.  In 2013, Heath followed up with another Gold Medal for his "Pale Ale" style beer. This is a huge accomplishment for any Home Brewer!

Through it all, Heath and his wife, Eileen, happily make time for charitable organizations…Most actively involved with Cure Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, Lange Foundation, SPCA Los Angeles, The California Police Youth Charities and The Lake Havasu (Arizona) Police Youth Charities.
